Sustainable, Ethical Living During the 75th Anniversary Celebrations
Bulletin No: 2020.1 - Wednesday, 8 January 2020
Dear friends,
SUSTAINABLE, ETHICAL LIVING DURING THE 75th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
During the period from 28 January until the 10 February, there will be 3 seminars for the inauguration of Kanha Shanti Vanam, during the Basant celebrations of Pujya Lalaji Maharaj's birth anniversary. There may be as many as 120,000 people visiting our campus during this time, and the opportunity is there to show the world how we can maintain a pristine sustainable campus even with such a large number of people and infrastructure requirements.
We therefore invite all delegates to participate in simple living in tune with nature, including:
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the campus by collecting rubbish and placing it in the receptacles provided.
- Creating a plastic-free environment. We ask everyone who can to please bring your own water bottles that can be filled from the various 'Drinking Water Stations' around Kanha, and avoid plastic water bottles. We will not be selling plastic water bottles and alternatives will be available around the campus.
- In the canteens we will be using organic disposable plates and cups in order to save water for washing. We invite each and every one to do whatever possible to save water during the function.
Together we can make sure that this landmark event will be remembered as an example of our commitment to sustainable living.
Thank you and very warm regards,
The Kanha Team
