The Ashram bell announces essential activities in the daily schedule.

• 3 bell chimes at 5.00 am: Morning chimes.
• 3 bell chimes at 9.30 pm: Lights out.
• 3 bell chimes at 12:30 pm and 7:30 pm on weekdays:  Lunch and dinner.
• 3 bell chimes at 3 pm and 7:30 pm on Sunday:  High tea and dinner.
• 2 bell chimes: Meditation begins in 15 minutes.

Meditation Hall:

Satsanghs are conducted in the main meditation hall. The schedule is given below.

  • Weekdays and Saturdays at 6.30 am and 5.00 pm. An additional weekday satsangh is held at 9:00.
  • Sundays at 7.30 am, and 4.30 pm.
  • When Master is in the Ashram, sitting times may vary. Listen to the bell!

In the Meditation Hall we

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of time
  • Prepare for satsangh
  • Switch off mobile phones
  • Be seated until permitted to leave
  • Observe silence

Food:

All meals are served in the dining hall.

Monday through Saturday

  • Breakfast 7:30 – 8:30 am
  • Lunch 12:30 – 1:30 pm
  • Dinner 7:30 – 8:30 pm

Sunday

  • Brunch 9:00 - 10:00 am
  • High Tea 3:00 – 4:00 pm
  • Dinner 7:30 – 8:30 pm

There is a canteen, located near the water tower, provides Indian snacks, ice creams, sandwiches, tea, coffee, cool drinks, and mineral water, and more during celebrations. . The canteen is closed during meditation.

Dormitories:

The dormitories are situated below the meditation hall. Mattresses, mosquito nets, sheets, and pillows are available for rent at the Bedding Counter, located near the dormitories. Lockers are available for a small fee. . Please take responsibility for your valuables by locking them away.

Free Medical Centre:

A free medical centre is open in the Ashram on the side of the administrative building: doctors are available between 9 am and lunch and from 6 pm to 7.30 pm. The medicines prescribed are delivered inside the same building. Homeopathy, ophthalmology, dentistry and other specialty clinic are also available on specific days.

Indoor Games:

The room above the main kitchen has been renovated and transformed into an Indoor Games Hall, featuring table tennis, badminton, chess, carom, and other games. The games are available free of charge to children over ten years old. Adults can play for a fee, payable either on a per-game basis or as a longer subscription. Volunteers at the Indoor Games Hall can provide additional information about the rates and times of play.

Banking Facilities:

The Allahabad Bank has opened a full-service branch on the Manapakkam ashram premises. The Bank offers ATM facilities and makes regular currency exchanges.

Communication:

Telephone calls can be made at the STD/ISD booth located near the Cafeteria.
Stamps can be purchased at the Bedding Counter. A mailbox is located just outside the main gate, on the left.
Facilities for connecting with the Internet and sending or receiving email messages are available near the ashram.

In the Ashram we…

Keep the surroundings clean: an effort is made to recycle the wastage and special dustbins are provided around the Ashram. Help us in this endeavour.

Conserve water, electricity: in all our small daily routine. Consider giving Laundry outside.
Do not waste food and eat in remembrance.

Comply with the established guidelines: No alcohol or drugs (other than those required for medical reasons) are allowed at the Ashram. Smoking is prohibited within ashram premises.
